    • PJ Van Hulle says:

Think about what content your ideal clients would be interested in and pin related articles, etc.

  11. Hi, I do have a Pinterest account but it is the social media venue I use the least…

  12. Is it necessary to have our list be subscribers to Pinterest to be of use?

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

Leonardo, I wouldn’t worry about encouraging people on your list to get on Pinterest. Instead, I recommend encouraging people on Pinterest to join your list.

  13. Hi PJ, Beth, and fellow List-a-Paloozers!

Thanks for another interesting training call… I’ve been using pinterest half-heartedly, but don’t really know how to leverage it for marketing. Looking forward to it!

  17. Hello Everyone, Glad to be here and learn about Pinterest. Thank you for this great opportunity.

  18. Hi! This is Karen Birsner McMahon from ShopforMuseums.com. Pinterest is my FAVORITE social media tool. It’s like digital collecting. We have a ton of followers on Pinterest and now need to how to convert some of these folks to customers. Feel free to follow us at: http://www.pinterest.com/shopformuseums/

  19. Coach Stacy says:

PJ, where’s the link to your pintrest page?!?!?

  20. Question: If you already have a personal Pinterest page, should you ADD a business page or SWITCH the personal one over to a Business page??

  21. Badges? We don’t need no stinkin badges…

  23. Emily Levy says:

QQQ What business type did you suggest for PJ, Beth?

  24. PJ Van Hulle says:

    Tools for creating photo badges:

    http://www.picmonkey.com/
    https://www.canva.com/

  25. Emily Levy says:

    I love Canva!!!

  26. I’d had a non-business Pinterest account for several years now. I have many boards that are not business related. Is it still appropriate to switch to a business account? Why?

  27. Maia Alpern says:

I can’t believe how excited I am already to go and play on Pinterest and Beth is just beginning to share.

  28. PJ – for some reason – I have never been able to get your tinyurl’s to work – is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what’s preventing me from loading it?

  29. PJ Van Hulle says:

Here’s the Keyword Tool (Now Called Keyword Planner):
    https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner

  30. Maia Alpern says:

Since new people join Pinterest over the course of time do you recommend repinning your own pins once or twice a year? For example if I set up a tip board on gluten-free kitchen ideas?

  31. Coach Stacy says:

Can you re-organize the placement of boards later on your home page?
Can you change titles of boards later?

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

You can definitely re-organize the placement of boards.

And yes, you can change the board names and descriptions, too.

  32. PJ Van Hulle says:

See what people are pinning from your site:
    http://www.pinterest.com/source/YOURDOMAINNAME

NOTE: Insert your actual domain name where it says “YOURDOMAINNAME”

    • Maia Alpern says:

Actually I just tried this and you have to have a Pinterest account or be willing to let them access all your friends and personal info on Facebook to use this source feature.

  33. Beth and PJ, Thank you for all the generous information.

  34. Because I am a painter, people have pinned tons of my stuff–but it has not led to any benefit to me. I don’t know how to engage these people who obviously love my stuff.

    • PJ Van Hulle says:

Do the images link back to a site of yours where people can join your list and / or buy your art?

      • Some of them do…but honestly, even though I’ve paid money for Pinterest classes in the past, haven’t noticed even a traffic boost from it. And when I put the price on, it doesn’t seem to lead anywhere either. But I don’t have many followers–yet–and I rarely post…maybe I will change that tomorrow. ;)

  35. Cathi says:

Thank you, Beth!Where is the link to download that?

  36. Beth -What apps are you referring to when you mentioned pinning lots of pics?

  37. Pinterest is a great vision board. Help you visualize and achieve your goals.

  38. Is there a tool that will allow you to schedule your posts?

  39. Great Info! Thank you Beth and PJ – I heard about Pinterest, but I really didn’t know much about it until now.

  40. What I love is that Pinterest is visual and people think in pictures not words. Being able to post my blog is great.

  41. Coach Stacy says:

    Thank you Beth & Pj,

    My questions were:

Can you re-organize the placement of boards later on your home page?
Can you change titles of boards later?

LOVE that you can get some marketing feedback from Pinterest (finally spelt that right :D)

  42. I have a Pinterest account but not really using it to draw traffic or business. So interested on how to do that.

I’m a money, mindset, and marketing company that embrace, educate, and empower entrepreneurs to increase profits and growth. So what I do is work with entrepreneurs that want to take back control of their lives, stop overwhelm of managing their business, clients, and growth.

  43. This call was soooo fabulous! The biggest aha for me was that you could actually see the analytics on what people were pinning. As a self admitted marketing nerd, that was HUGE!

  44. If you are posting your own art is it best to put it on your website as opposed to flicker and should you put your website across the image? thank you…so informative!!!

  45. Dawn says:

Very informative. I can see how I can use this in my business since Bride’s are pinning things about their weddings. I think I can develop a few badges and collect some thing on love and marriage to put on my board. Thanks Beth and PJ

  46. Maia Alpern says:

Great call PJ and Beth! Will certainly start my Pinterest campaign this week. Feels so much more fun to me than Facebook. So cool! Hugs!

  47. What a great and inspiring call! Thank you PJ and Beth. I now feel inspired to move forward with Pinterest for the first time! Awesome!! The big aha was how easy and fun it is to build a platform and to follow your strategic alliances and competitors – Pure oneness and Magic! Thank you!

  48. What a great training! I have recently become interested in exploring pinterest for my business, and was excited about learning more about the platform. I had no idea how any of it worked, so I really absorbed everything Beth taught. A couple big takeaways: 1. Items pinned link back to the source, and 2. using keywords in descriptions. I will be setting up an account this evening. I’m looking forward to using Pinterest, and to tomorrow’s power hour! :-)

  49. Thanks for sharing the keyword planner tips & link: https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner . We pin in a bunch of areas that we think museum-y people will like, but I am still not sure about being a “resource” to our audience and driving them back to shopping on our main site. Maybe focus more on things like travel tips for parents? Any other ideas?

    Thank you for this presentation!

  50. BTW, we find Pinterest pins are GREAT for showing up in Google searches. So there’s a great reason to carefully write your folder topics, folder descriptions and using the text box wisely with your pins. (AND you can always change what someone wrote in the box who pinned before you). Lots of folks have followed us because of this.

  51. Loved this call. I’ve been fooling around on Pinterest just to see what it’s all about. I can definitely see the addictive nature of it, LOL, and today you gave me some great biz building ideas.
